Supervisor - Grounds & Garden Maintenance

The position available is:

  • Full-time (76 hours per fortnight) 
  • Working Monday to Friday
  • Attractive salary equivalent to $73k p.a. + 12% Super + Tax-Free Salary Packaging
  • Based at our North Parramatta site with travel required across Western Sydney

About the Role

Flourish Australia are seeking a hands-on and proactive Supervisor to support our team in delivering high-quality commercial grounds and garden maintenance services within our community businesses. You will lead teams of employees accessing the Community Business Supported Employment program to carry out their work on commercial contracts, providing them with vocational skills and support so they can transition into and maintain meaningful open employment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the delivery of safe, high-quality community business services aligned with contract requirements. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, support and access to training for employees in the program. 
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture aligned with Flourish Australia's values. 
  • Continually seek opportunities for improvement while facilitating a wide range of work place experiences and development opportunities for employees, encouraging their resilience and commitment to work.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Flourish Australia Site Manager to provide updates, feedback and input to continuous improvement planning. 
  • Adapt your communication style to suit different audiences and situations, with a strong focus on active listening and non-verbal communication.

Selection Criteria

  • Qualifications (Certificate III or above) in horticulture.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Competency in using and maintaining gardening/grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of mental health issues.
