About the Opportunity
The Data Migration Analyst is required to perform data analysis of existing data structures and relational databases, data formats, primary and secondary keys data relations, data transformation rules and technical transformation scripts, validation of data and identification of anomalies, as well as detailed data migration tasks to support the transformation project.
The Data Migration Analyst undertakes identification and analysis of existing and new data capture, interpretation of data, visualisation, and reporting opportunities to contribute to Flourish Australia’s business planning, quality improvement and service development programs.
The key tasks and responsibilities will include but is not limited to
- Undertaking data migration analysis, design, and implementation, including test and verification of migrated data.
- Undertake data collection, prepare and collect data from various sources (report, list, custom query, data extraction, or relational databases).
- Undertake data exploration, explore the dataset from various sources to understand its characteristics, distributions, and relationships between variables, and establish the as-is data dictionary.
- Support the development of technical data migration scripts and tools.
- Perform data cleaning activities including definition of validation rules, validation routines and monitoring data quality.
- Support the data transformation routings as part of data migration.
- Responsible for testing data migration process and environment maintenance.
- Maintain adequate data documentation and data dictionary.
- Supporting Flourish Australia’s Monitoring and Evaluation Framework, including creating data reports and visualisation that achieves the objectives of the Framework.
- Preparation and injection of sample data to support various project testing phases and business scenarios.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Qualifications in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience as recognized by Flourish Australia.
- At least 3-years of relevant experience in data migration including identifying, monitoring, data management and reporting using PowerBI, Tableau or similar software.
- Advanced technical skills using analytical tools such as SQL, Python, Minitab, SPSS and Excel.
- Sound communication skills including the ability to write reports, present to and engage with staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and autonomously with internal and external stakeholders, with the capability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
Desirable:
- Prior experience in CRM implementation and/or data migration projects is highly desired.
- Relevant technical accreditation or tertiary qualification.
- Experience in Power Automate functions
- Experience in developing data analysis/visualisation tools.
- A carer role or having a lived experience of mental health issues will be an advantage.
