Team Coordinator, Community Businesses

The position available is:

  • Ongoing Full-time (76 hours/fortnight)
  • Working Monday to Friday
  • Based in Harris Park
  • Attractive salary package from $85,000p.a. + 11.5% Super + Tax free benefits!

About the Role

As the Team Coordinator, Community Businesses you will support the Site Manager with the seamless delivery of commercial services offered by Community Businesses. A key feature of this role is to lead by example within the Community Businesses by taking a hands-on approach to work and supporting and developing the skills of Supervisors and Supported Employees.

In this role you will:
  • Oversee the delivery of Community Businesses commercial services offered from the site to ensure quality standards are maintained and customer deadlines and KPIs are met.
  • Plan and schedule commercial service delivery to ensure supplies are ordered, tracked, and on hand to meet all deadlines and complete work as scheduled and on time.
  • Ensure Site Managers are kept updated around all current and planned work, to facilitate organisation of sites and resources, including optimum staffing levels.
  • Ensure that any change to commercial service deadlines is communicated to customers in a timely manner.
  • Provide instruction and training to staff and employees in work methods and the expectations of their positions.
Day to day, this may involve:
  • Organising equipment and consumable supplies;
  • Rostering the Supported Employee work teams;
  • Supervise commercial packaging activities;
  • Maintaining accurate up-to-date records; and
  • Assisting with the financial administration of the community business with tasks such as quoting and invoicing. 

This role requires experience in the use of a range of tools and hands-on warehousing experience. You will also help market our community businesses, promoting positive community awareness of our services, seeking participation, partnership and new customers.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  1. At least 3 years practical experience working in a relevant industry.
  2. Demonstrated experience in training and supporting staff.
  3. A strong commitment and advanced understanding of recovery-based practice in the workplace.
  4. Good knowledge of the local area and its health services and other community services.
  5. Understanding of Workplace, Health and Safety requirements relevant to sites and operations.
  6. A good understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of a mental health issue, especially in relation to employment. 
  7. Good knowledge Microsoft Office and expert knowledge of data information management systems.
  8. Maintain a current Australian Driver’s Licence.
