Flourish Australia's cleaning services are managed out of our St Marys site, servicing locations including St Marys, Windsor, Glendenning, Sydney Olympic Park, Hornsby, Chatswood, St Leonards and Menangle. Our Cleaner positions are casual working Monday-Sunday from morning, daytime and evening shifts, with the flexibility to pick up extra hours and permanent part-time work as the business grows.
The role of the Cleaner (ADE) includes but is not limited to:
- Daily cleaning tasks of public areas, offices and worksites.
- Specialised cleaning of periodical scheduled tasks i.e; cleaning plant rooms, emulsion strip and wax floor coverings (old flooring types), external windows and screens, external cobwebs of buildings, maintaining electrical insect traps.
- Ensuring efficient and quality work is carried out.
- Additional tasks in support of the current Supervisors and Cleaners.

About the Community Businesses (Australian Disability Enterprises)
Flourish Australia operates social enterprises and community businesses with the purpose of creating sustainable employment, vocational and training opportunities for people with mental health issues.
The aims of Flourish Australia's community businesses (ADE) are as follows:
- Social: to create a recovery and reintegration pathway for people with mental health issues through various employment activities.
- Economic: to operate the business on a commercially sustainable basis of profitable growth whilst simultaneously offering employment opportunities for people.
- Product: to provide a range of commercial industry-standard products that meet the expectations and needs of targeted markets.
- Support: to increase awareness of mental health issues and to encourage businesses to support Australian Disability Enterprises and social enterprises.
The community businesses (ADE) include:
- Ensuring that quality work is carried out whilst ensuring employees' and business service satisfaction
- Planning and directing daily production activities to ensure that operations are efficient, effective and meet the organisation's requirements
- Providing employees with the training, support and resources they require to efficiently complete their tasks in a safe environment, in compliance with the terms of the Enterprise Agreement, Disability Service Standards, Workplace Health and Safety legislation and other relevant requirements

Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Experience as a commercial cleaner (office cleaning is highly regarded) and familiarity with the use of chemicals used in sanitisation and disinfection
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, both written and verbal
- Be positive, friendly and customer-focused
- Be proactive in managing stakeholder expectations
- Have a strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environment
- Confidence to successfully work with and motivate a team
- Understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of mental health issues
- A reliable vehicle and drivers license
- Full Australian work rights
Desirable:
- Certificate II in Cleaning and/or Asset Maintenance
- Understanding of cross contamination/infection control
- Experience in using buffing and/or polishing machines
Appointments will be subject to satisfactory Australian residency/visa, National Criminal Record checks, and Working With Children Check (where applicable).
